Urban Oil Sites

From Baldwin Hills to Beverly Hills, urban oil drilling affects every Angeleno.
Of the 1,071 active oil wells in the City of Los Angeles, 759 are located less than 1,500 feet from homes, schools, churches and hospitals. Yet, while the health and safety of our communities remain vulnerable to the threats of neighborhood extraction, the City of Los Angles has failed to conduct an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) on oil operations in thirty years.
